Tyree is active with The November Coalition and Students
for Sensible Drug
Policy (SSDP) on the Bellingham campuses of Western Washington
University and Whatcom Community College. Tyree's father, Gary
Callahan, was arrested in 1989 and sentenced to 27 years
in prison. Tyree is single and has a 4-year-old son named Conor,
who, because of misguided U.S. drug policy, has yet to sit on
his grandfather's lap.
