10 Years, Theft $750

Alfredo Rodriguez received a Purple Heart, a Bronze Star, and numerous honors for his service in Vietnam with the U.S. Army. Upon returning to the states, he became hooked on heroin. In June of 1993, Rodriguez was arrested for heroin possession, and stated "it wasn't in my possession." He was released on a $10,000 bond.

A few days later, he was arrested at Mervyn's Department Store in San Antonio, Texas for shoplifting 42 pairs of jeans to support his habit. He is now serving ten years in prison for theft.
