Gail Waggoner #12224-018

Gail (right) and her daughter Lisa

After Gail Waggoner's then-husband led her into dealing marijuana, she became a cocaine addict and dealer, acting as a broker in Naples, Florida for distributors from Tennessee. One of the distributors, a longtime family friend, informed on Waggoner in exchange for a reduced sentence. Waggoner could have informed on sixteen suppliers and dealers in exchange for a 16-month sentence, but she turned in none and received the mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years.

Gail is featured in a series on Women in Prison, from the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.
